Intended to help the child feel secure and to enjoy what may be his/her first experience away from the family. Child must be 3 by September 1 and potty-trained, for these Tuesday/Thursday classes: 9-11:30 am or 12:30 am and 3 pm.
Focus is to continue to help the child feel happy and secure as he/she establishes an independent experience away from the family as well as prepare for Kindergarten. Child must be 4 by September 1, for these Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes: 9-11:30 am and 12:30-3 pm
4 & 5-YEAR-OLD CLASS
Developed to make the transition from preschool to all day-Kindergarten easier for children. M-F 9-11:30 am
A DAY IN PRESCHOOL WILL INCLUDE:
Possible areas of interest are: dramatic play, block building, art activities, interest centers, play with sand and water, puzzles and dress ups
Show and Tell, Music, Movement, Games, Stories, Finger plays, Kindergarten Readiness Activities, & Science Experiments
Children may actively participate. This time provides an opportunity for the teaching of several meal graces.
Indoor and Outdoor climbing gym, balance beams, mini trampoline, riding toys, balance boards, hoops, bean bags, parachute or games, and playing on Noah’s Ark
The children are encouraged to borrow a book each day that school is in session. We ask that you return a book before taking another one. More information concerning the weekly schedule will be provided by a monthly newsletter and calendar.
Large blocks of time are set up during the day to provide a balance between freedom and guidance, group and individual activities and active and inactive experiences.
